Stefano Ronchi is a Full Professor of Business Management and Organisation as well as Vice Rector for Education and Learning at the Politecnico di Milano, where he completed both his degree in Management Engineering and his PhD in Management, Economics and Industrial Engineering.
Throughout his career, he has held numerous institutional roles, including Chairman of the Management Engineering degree programme, Rector’s Delegate for International Affairs, Chairman of the Steering Committee of ENHANCE, Vice President of Unitech and a member of the PoliMI 2040 commission. Currently a member of IPSERA and of the Board of Directors of Arcadia, he has also served as Director of the MBA programme and Corporate Education in the Graduate School of Management at the Politecnico di Milano.
With over 150 contributions in books and scientific articles, as well as international awards, his research focuses on process and organisational transformation, with particular attention to procurement, the supply chain, spend governance, procurement organisation, key performance indicators, negotiation, supply chain finance and public procurement.
He has taught courses and seminars at different European universities and has been Visiting Professor at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Universidad de Buenos Aires. He has been part of the National Scientific Qualification Commission for Management Engineering and has collaborated with companies and organisations such as Astaldi, Corte di Cassazione, Enel, Eni, Fincantieri, Gucci, IBM, Istat, Mediaset, Ministero della Giustizia, Pirelli and Unicredit.
