The Prevention and Protection Service (SPP) relies upon the employer's staff and performs the functions set out in Art. 33 of Italian Legislative Decree No 81/2008 (and subsequent amendments). The Service aims at granting the best health and safety conditions in the workplace, in cooperation with the various persons in charge of safety management.
The SPP implements programmes aimed at identifying and minimising the risks associated with the execution of work activities and promotes the training, information and updating of employees on safety issues, with the goal to increase the culture and awareness of organisational and technical choices in the operational management of activities.
The SPP promotes initiatives aimed at outsiders to spread the culture of health and safety protection in the workplace through events, training courses, collaborations.
By effectively identifying the main roles envisaged by the standard and translating them into equivalent figures in the university world, the University regulations for the safety and health of employees is the instrument by which areas of action and consequent responsibilities are set.
