Professor Luigi Dadda, holder of the Chair of Electrical Engineering atPolitecnico di Milano since 1962, has made significant contributions to computer science, in particular to computer arithmetic and the architecture of complex digital systems.
He is the founder of Politecnico di Milano's internationally renowned computer science school and developer of the European computer network.
He was Rector of Politecnico di Milano from 1972 to 1984. He is a member of various Scientific Academies and has received important awards both in Italy and abroad. He has also held numerous scientific and organisational roles at national and international level.
