Call for projects for students from all design courses.
A maximum of 15 projects will be selected from the submitted proposals to be exhibited during the BAU Museum (Bovisa Arte Urbana) event scheduled 4/5 April at Rob de Matt (via Enrico Butti 18, Milan), during the pre-Design Week.
The call brief requires the design of a piece of furniture of any type - lamps, chairs, tables, wardrobes, bedside tables, rugs, tapestries, hangers, etc. - with just one constraint: to use materials that are not in contact with the environment. - with only one constraint: to use materials or parts of objects from an urban context or from the street. The aim is to create furniture with a strong aesthetic impact starting from discarded materials, recovered from the urban environment or reused in an innovative way.
The BAU Museum explores the themes of Street Art and the Bovisa district.
This pre-Design Week exhibition aims to transform a space, indoor or outdoor, demonstrating how from discarded/urban or reused materials from the street/other situations the designer can shape a space in an aesthetic and precise manner.
The projects will be exposed to two scheduled reviews with the Collettivo AAA experts to be held in February and March. The deadline for submitting projects is 23 March 2025 (via email to Collettivo AAA).
A commission composed of members of the Collettivo AAA and the BAU Museum will select the winning projects, which will be developed in prototype form, with the support of narrative graphics, to be exhibited during the event.
