Designing impactful solutions for a rapidly changing climate and urgent societal conditions
What
A 24-hour hackathon linking designers and innovators across the Atlantic, through a dedicated path designed by both instutions!
Who
Open to students from the third year of the bachelor & from the first and second year of the master, enrolled in the School of Design.
In collaboration with POLI.design & MIT
How
Teams of students from Politecnico di Milano, POLI.design and MIT (2 POLIMI + 2 MIT) will collaborate virtually from Milan and Cambridge to ideate and co-create
innovation opportunities addressing the climate crisis and other urgent societal conditions.
You will spend 24 hours on site with your team. At the end of the 24 hours, you will pitch your idea and prototype to a panel.

Prize
The best team will win a prize + mentorship activities to continue to develop the proposed idea.
The second and the third team will access to mentorship activities to continue to develop the proposed idea.
Extra information
Food, drinks, menthorship, activities during breaks and support for the 24h will be provided by the organizers! Participants will have the opportunity to start developing an idea with real impact!
- Immerse yourself in a contemporary challange with a multidisciplinary team of participants and mentors from both universities.
- Show your ability to respond concretely to real problems, providing innovative and interesting solutions.
- Get ready for a 24-hour Design sprint, at the end of which the 3 best ideas will be awarded.
Due to the nature of the activity it is MANDATORY to be able to speak English to interact with team-mates from MIT.
It is mandatory to attend the whole 24h event.
