Mission and goals
The programme has the objective of preparing a new, for the Italian context, engineering figure, the industrial engineer, present for many years now on the international scene: a professional who conceives industry as a system to be designed, organised and managed. He/she must therefore have the necessary skills to dominate such a system from its initial design phase through to its management, in the meantime optimising its processes, technological cycles, systems, plant, logistics, and so on.
Career opportunities
Numerous professional opportunities are available in the industry sector for production and development of new technologies, operation of plants and machinery, programming and supervision of production activities and ensuring transformation and service plants compliance with the requirements of quality and environmental standards.
Possible further education
Subject to evaluation of their curriculum, graduates in Industrial Production Engineering can continue their studies in related fields such as Management Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. With admission always subject to an evaluation, graduates may choose other Laurea Magistrale (equivalent to Master of Science) programmes or 1st level Specializing Masters.
