Descrizione dell'iniziativa
design + cinema: screening of "Il Sentiero della Gioia", documentary by Thomas Torelli and meet the"design +" is an initiative to enrich and inspire our students' path through a series of meetings with some unique voices from different disciplines. A space of contamination for design to receive stimuli and be enriched by the integration with the world of ethical business, poetry, philosophy, magic, cinema.
Conceived as part of the "Brand of me" course of Prof. Fabio Di Liberto, the screening of Un Altro Mondo and the meeting with the director are intended to be an enlightening and revealing moment, in which to address major issues related to our possible future. Starting from the present, the analysis goes back in time in search of civilizations such as the Maya and the Native Americans who developed in different ways but from whom we have much to learn; societies exterminated by us in the name of "development" and "modernization", but that today are taken as an example to teach us a lot about ourselves, about our present and the future we are building.From science and quantum physics, to the research of writers and scientists, the documentary brings together surprising voices and examples that reveal our natural ability to shape reality.The screening of the documentary and the meeting with the director Thomas Torelli want to offer to the Politecnico Design community a moment of reflection on the world we want and can design.
